Grace and Mercy Combine to Reflect God's Love

Grace and Mercy ABSOLUTELY Reflect God's Love!

Combined and put into action, God's Grace and Mercy always reflect God's purpose and mission, which is His LOVE. Grace and Mercy wrapped around God's love reflect His essence, substance, ways, character, and nature - which is ABSOLUTE LOVE. Grace and Mercy working through "saved-sinners" like you and me reflect God's PERFECT LOVE, as it was intended. The Bible tells us that God's love is best reflected through His children, you and me, and all the other unlovables! As unlovables are called to love the unlovable, the only way to do it is with His Grace and Mercy.

Hebrews 4:16 - "Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

Love is a funny thing. It's so clear and tangible yet elusive and hard to grasp all at the same time. However, His love, the Father's love, is Jesus, and Jesus through Grace is our salvation despite our sin, which is the ultimate reflection of His Mercy.

1 John 4:19 - "We love, because He first loved us."

I believe Grace and Mercy together uniquely reflect God's love in a way that attracts those who may feel unloved and unlovable.

1 John 4:10 - "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

Here's something to consider. If you are thinking of "Grace" and "Mercy" anyway, earnestly seek God's Grace and Mercy.

Ephesians 2:4 - "But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,"

Earnestly get as much Grace and Mercy as you possibly can so that you can be a filled vessel to pour out His Grace and Mercy to a hurting world in great need of Grace and Mercy.

Ephesians 1:4 - "just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love."

When you pour out Grace and Mercy, you'll be guaranteed to find plenty of Grace and Mercy in your time of need.

1 John 4:17 - "By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world."

If we're honest, we'd admit we want love, we need love, and we can't possibly live without it. We expect love too, but many of us don't deserve the kind of love we demand from others. Consequently, we falsely believe we are "unlovable."

1 John 3:16 - "We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."

Today, I am here to inform you that God loves YOU apart from your behavior, apart from your morality or lack thereof. God loves you because of what Jesus did for you.

2 Corinthians 9:8 - "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;"

Therefore, God absolutely loves the unlovable ones like you and me, especially when we love other unlovables unconditionally. What's more, God promises to provide the love too!

Grace + Mercy = God's Unconditional Love

2 John 1:3 - "Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love."

The good news is that God is love, and He's given you and me unlimited access to His love! He will keep the love flowing, and he wants us to share it with the world unconditionally.

2 Thessalonians 3:5 - "May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ."

God longs for us to take His love and show it off so that everyone, the entire world, and the cosmos can see the love of God through us. God wants to be known for His incomprehensible Grace and great Mercy.

Romans 5:5 - "and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

The more we struggle due to our own poor choices, the more God wants to bless us with His Grace and Mercy.

Colossians 2:15 - "When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him."

God's Grace and Mercy are not tied to our behavior. Instead, we get unlimited Grace and Mercy because of what Jesus did on the cross and His resurrection.

Romans 4:25 - "He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification."

We already have all the Grace and Mercy we could ever use in a zillion lifetimes.

Colossians 2:14 - "having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."

The more we struggle, the more He then can display His Grace and Mercy through us as He rescues us and fills us up where we lack.

Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

From God's perspective, the more undeserving we are, the better. The more undeserving we are, the bigger His Grace and Mercy are displayed!

1 John 4:9 - "By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him."

The more undeserving we are, the more graceful and merciful. God is not surprised by our sin, and He's not mad at us.

Romans 5:15 - "But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the Grace of God and the gift by the Grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many."

Here is the definition of Grace and Mercy in action: Jesus paid our entire debt, and He took God's judgment and punishment upon Himself. He took it so that He could give us His righteousness in exchange.

2 Corinthians 5:21 - "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

Jesus was obviously full of Grace and Mercy.

Romans 5:20 - "The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,"

When we love others as He loves us, we reflect His Love to a lost and hurting world, who by the way is desperate and in need of God's Grace and Mercy. Who isn't?

Romans 12:1 - "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship."

God sent His only Son to die for us, to take our sins upon Himself and exchanged it for His righteousness and holiness. We obviously got the good end of the deal, so that... we would show Grace and Mercy to those in need when they least deserved it.

2 Corinthians 4:15 - "For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God."

Jesus becomes more attractive to a lost world when we love. Love, through Grace and Mercy, covers all sins.

2 Corinthians 13:14 - "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all."

We will be known as His disciples through the love we have for one another!

1 Thessalonians 4:9 - "Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;"

Grace and Mercy together look altogether different from anything you might find in the world.

Philippians 4:19 - "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

The world will teach you to pick yourself up by your bootstraps and get your act together.

Titus 3:4 - "But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,"

The world will attempt to use scolding, condemnation, and a bunch of shame to force us into behaving right.

1 John 2:5 - "but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:"

God is entirely the opposite of the world; God always leads and flows through humility and love in the form of Grace and Mercy. Good and extraordinary things from a loving God to those who don't deserve it.

Luke 6:27 - "But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,"

But love isn't always so clear-cut. Sometimes it's indescribable, elusive, and undefinable - it's just too vast and incomprehensible. So how can I love those who hurt me or hate me?

Luke 6:28 - "bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."

Grace and Mercy are demonstrations of God's love nature. If we love those who love us, what is that? Grace and Mercy are given to those who don't deserve it but need it!

Luke 6:29 - "Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either."

Love is an action and a verb. God's love is so powerful it could kill you and even cost you your life.

Luke 6:30 - "Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back."

Grace and Mercy working together always reflect God's loving nature. He desires to see everyone receive Mercy, saved by Grace.

Luke 6:31 - "Treat others the same way you want them to treat you."

Grace and Mercy work together to reveal God's true heart for mankind. He is most pleased as we reflect His nature of Grace and Mercy as we love the unlovable.

Luke 6:32 - "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them."

God's love in the form of Grace and Mercy coming through us is the greatest gift to God of all! We bless God when we are merciful.

2 Corinthians 1:3 - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,"

We minister to God when we give His love to those who don't deserve it.

1 Timothy 1:2 - "To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord."
