Clearview Girls Academy is a residential treatment facility that utilizes Christian counseling techniques as its therapeutic curriculum. 

At Clearview, we pride ourselves on providing at-risk teenage girls with cutting-edge psychotherapy practices that are at the forefront of today's understanding of mental health. That said, we whole-heartedly believe that for the most cutting-edge psychotherapies to be effective, they must also be motivated by a deep faith and relationship with Christ. 

While our society's mental health crisis is one that affects our entire population as a whole, statistical analytics show that teenage girls are the most vulnerable and inclined to develop a mental health-related illness. 

No one is entirely sure about why girls are more prone to developing mental illness than boys. That said, many experts state that there are many likely contributing factors including (but not limited to): 

• Girls face obstacles when it comes to finding out who they are developing their own identity. Obstacles that are unique to their gender. 
• Girls are more likely to take on adulthood's pressures and future aspects well before they are legally grown-ups. 
• Girls are unfairly faced with unrealistic standards and sexist attitudes that are endemic to our culture.  
• Girls are ten percent likelier to engage in substance abuse and become addicted to said harmful substances.  

When it comes to troubled teenage behaviors, many contributing factors that are more complicated, contradictory, and even media-saturated-related issues often come into play. 

In other words, in addition to naturally volatile changes, teenage girls often face societal obstacles unique to their gender. In many cases, these compounded biological and cultural consequences make it difficult for teenage girls to navigate their everyday lives healthily or even prosocially at all.
